We are searching for a Territory Sales Representative who will manage a defined geographic territory within the Independent Drug channel at L&R. This role is focused primarily on executing merchandising service on existing business, strengthening customer relationships, and increasing product categories across all stores. This position is ideal for a self-starter with strong communication skills, a hunter mindset, excellent prospecting skills, and a passion for selling and relationship management able to effectively articulate the benefits of L&R Distributors. 

COMPENSATION:
$1,000 weekly rate + monthly commission (mileage and gas reimbursement included)
We offer additional performance-based incentives.

TERRITORY OPENING:  Eastchester/New Rochelle/White Plains, NY (candidate must reside within reasonable proximity of assigned territory)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In-Store Execution:

  • Take inventory and assess replenishment needs using Repsly on tablet.
  • Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise on store shelves, as required.
  • Ensure planogram compliance and promotional display standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized product displays and sales areas.
  • Communicate with store leadership to resolve in-store issues related to inventory or product placement.

Territory Planning & Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned independent drugstore accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Maintain and travel within a clearly defined sales territory.
  • Visit accounts regularly to ensure proper inventory levels and product availability.
  • Engage with store owners and staff to improve product performance and capture feedback.
  • Use handheld devices or tablets to place orders, manage mileage, and track activity.
  • Work in tandem with the Merchandising team to ensure optimal product placement, planogram compliance, and inventory flow.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify, pitch, and onboard new accounts within the defined territory.
  • Execute promotions, upsell existing accounts, and expand product categories.
  • Open new categories within existing stores to increase product penetration.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and Telesales to align goals and drive revenue.

SUPERVISION

General Supervision: Routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; existing standard practices and procedures will guide routine work; occasional check-ins of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle multiple accounts and projects simultaneously within your defined region or territory.
  • Participate in cross-functional team efforts and company initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must meet MVR requirements.
  • 3+ years of CPG sales experience, preferably within the independent retail or drug channel.
  • Demonstrated success in territory management and customer relationship building.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and mobile order entry devices (tablets) to track mileage and order merchandise for stores within sales route.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
