Senior eCommerce Buyer

L&R is one of the largest distributors and purchasers of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA, and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Nevada.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Senior E-commerce Buyer will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy for our e-commerce platform. The Senior E-commerce Buyer will also have extensive experience in procurement, supplier relationships, and market analysis, they will play a key role in enhancing our product selection and driving customer satisfaction. This is a remote position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a strategic procurement plan, considering market trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis.
- Identify and source products that align with our brand and target customer base, negotiating terms and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and availability.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with the inventory and demand planning teams to optimize stock levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, assess product performance, and stay informed about emerging industry trends.
- Implement cost-effective procurement strategies while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize data analytics tools to track key performance indicators, assess product performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and logistics, to align product selection with marketing strategies and sales goals.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Substantial experience (5+ years) in procurement or buying.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and procurement software.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality products to customers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (If applicable)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
- Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
