L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, and Nevada.

Job Summary

The Picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. They must efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for pulling product and filling store orders accurately and efficiently from the correct location whether it is cases or less than case amount
  • Paying detailed attention to matching product item numbers
  • Correct product count
  • Placement of items on conveyor line or pallet with paperwork

Qualifications:

  • General Distribution Center experience helpful but not required
  • Ability to read and write
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer knowledge helpful but not required
  • Must be able to operate a RF scanner
  • Ability to lift and lower up to 50lbs and be on feet for long periods of time (use proper mechanics at all times)
  • Reach above shoulder
  • Repetitive arm/hand movements
  • Must be able to work in areas that are confined and/or crowded
  • Must be able to maintain friendly, helpful work ethic
  • Must be able to understand and use safe work methods to prevent injury to self and other employees.
  • Must be able to follow picking procedures (regular, special project, and transfer orders)
  • Must have great attendance
