JOB SUMMARY
To support this, L&R utilizes a state-of-the-art time phased replenishment technology (Kinaxis).  The Demand Planning Manager serves as the key leader for strategic management of the technology including forecast management, SIOP and technical support management including interfacing and managing third party service providers.  This role is a leading voice in designing, executing and managing strategic initiatives that involve replenishment, supply chain management and sourcing. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive the monthly and weekly tactical S&OP process, including the balancing of demand and supply, and the reporting of critical items to key stakeholders. 

  • Lead the collaborative process for sales forecasting including seasonal demand and new program / brand launches. 

  • Train and develop the wider replenishment team on technical settings and replenishment strategies to optimize inventory performance. 

  • Partner with executives, functional leaders, engineers, and other stakeholders to improve the depth, breadth, and impact of the data and reporting available to the business. 

  • Leverage forecasting software/framework to create, monitor, and maintain S&OP metrics and key performance indicators, identifying potential risks and opportunities. 

  • Builds and manages tools and processes that support key objectives such as demand, capacity, and supply planning, inventory modeling, service and revenue forecasting, plan optimization, and labor gap analysis.  Develops advanced analytical tools and reporting to support the entire S&OP process. 

  • Maintain metrics/scorecards on KPI's, including fill rates, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, excess & obsolete inventory, and procurement schedule adherence. 

  • Consolidates and analyzes demand and supply information for the operational, tactical, and strategic plans, and uses data to drive on-time delivery, establish lead times, inventory turns, and maximizing revenues. 

  • Drive resolution to operational issues, while keeping cross-functional partners aware of supply and service issues by providing facts. 

  • Solicit requirements for core systems business intelligence tool (Yellowfin/Tableau) and contribute to the design of reports, dashboards, and supporting data models. 

  • In partnership with our IT team and 3rd parties, expand our machine learning and AI capabilities to develop and refine forecasting, anomaly detection, and classification algorithms. 

  • Perform adhoc data analysis as requested by supply chain leaders. 


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Information Management, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or another quantitative field. 

  • Supply Chain / Warehousing / Transportation experience and/or APICS and Lean Six Sigma certifications would be a plus. 

  • An experienced demand planning leader, with a minimum of 4 years of expertise in managing both people and process of demand planning & forecasting, system management and SIOP leadership.  Requirement of expertise in a leading time phased replenishment system with a preference for experience with Kinaxis. 

  • Experience working in a retail or distribution replenishment environment with high volume and large catalog of products. 

  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills along with the ability to communicate results both verbally and in writing. 

  • Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Suites, and working knowledge of ERP and S&OP processes is a requirement. 

  • Experience in cloud data pipelines (Stitch, AWS Lambda, and other ELT tools), modern data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.), visualization and business intelligence tools (Yellowfin, Tableau, PowerBI, Advanced Excel). 

  • Knowledgeable about advanced analytics and able to guide investments in, and collaborate on, data science, machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics products. 

PAY:  $110,000 based on experience

 WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

  • Fully remote position
  • Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM 

TRAVEL:

  • This role is fully remote, with required periodic travel to the home office in Brooklyn, New York, about 1 to 2 days per month.
